Hi there! I’m Andy. Want to know a little more about me?
I am originally from Cincinnati and live there with my wife, Niki, and our twins. I earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Information Systems from the University of Cincinnati and a Master of Business Administration from Thomas More University.
My professional career started in wireless telecommunications, where I gained valuable experience and wore many hats. Over my almost 25-year journey, I earned a reputation as a go-to technical leader known for improving the technical operations of organizations. My expertise lies in driving digital transformations, strengthening cybersecurity initiatives, improving project management, and enhancing consumer engagement. I have a particular knack for building and leading cross-functional technical teams.
I have found joy in coaching team members of all career stages throughout the years. My leadership style emphasizes collaboration, continuous improvement, employee development, and operational excellence.
Because I enjoy coaching technical professionals, I started the Code & Compass Podcast. It is my way of sharing the wisdom I’ve gathered throughout my career. Hopefully, I can offer advice and guidance to those facing challenges similar to those I have encountered. The podcast allows me to reach more people than I can in person.

Current Role
Since November of 2022, I have proudly served as Chief Technology Officer on the Command Staff of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office under the command of Sheriff Charmaine McGuffey.
Hamilton County, OH, is the county that surrounds Cincinnati, Ohio.
In this role, I can directly apply my technical leadership experience to real-world situations. I face common challenges of budget and resource restraints and still find ways to succeed.
As part of a Command Staff with other dynamic leaders, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, under Sheriff McGuffey’s leadership, is well on its way to achieving the goal of becoming the most technologically advanced sheriff’s office in Ohio.
Content Creator
While I have had success in the professional world, but I am also a content creator. I manage a portfolio of branded websites and blogs that generate steady income, and I also have a modest YouTube channel called Go Together Go Far.
Content creation has helped me acquire additional skills that complement my leadership and technical abilities.
The Code & Compass Podcast is an excellent platform that allows me to effectively leverage both my worlds to guide other technical professionals on their journey.
